We are all born creatives. Our WonderStudio is a space where you can remember this by exploring with clay, pen, thread or your choice of creative medium.
Allow your soul to be nourished and your creativity flow through you!
DO YOU DARE TO WONDER?
In 2024, we dared to dream of a community creative studio that feels different – open, inclusive, and unbound by limitations. Across the world, studio spaces often feel exclusive, with financial barriers holding many of us back from unlocking our creativity. Or we find ourselves placing enormous pressure on some magnificent outcome when we do book a workshop, trying to “make it worth our buck.” But what if there was another way?
Born from trust and generosity, Our WonderStudio emerged – a space where imagination runs free, where people connect as equals, and where souls can create together. We don’t focus on perfect outcomes but on the joy of exploring, daring, and creating without limits. It’s a space where creativity flows without pressure – a place for discovery, connection, and wonder. Your space.
“The more we accept our prism like nature the more free we become to create in different colours and the more we trust inconsistent instincts we hold while making art” ~ Rik Rubin
In the studio you can find clay, a wheel, pottery tools, a selction of basic paints, paper, crayons and embroidery tools. You are welcome to work on the wheel, take a board and hand-build, practise your stitching or free-style your own way! The studio does not work like a usual WonderHouse experience, your time here is unguided unless specifically requested otherwise.
Clay glorious Clay! For pottery, we’ll happily arrange the firing of your creations for you but we currently don’t offer glazing in the studio. We can however point you in the direction of a studio in town where you can take your creation to for this final stage.
Thread wondrous Thread! We recommend you bring your own clothing and get creative by modifying and adding! Or, if that feels to daring, why not bring an old fabric swatch and practise this way!
Freestyle your own Way! Whether you wish to daydream, vision board, paint, crochet or whatever other creative outlet you might have, you are welcome to come with your own medium and book the freestyle space.

“To be creative is one of the most ways you can be alive. And that means doing things I know nothing about…there is something about doing things know nothing about because you dont compare because you have no reference and there is something very scary and very freeing about not knowing where you have just plunged” ~ Esther Perel

HOW IT WORKS
B E F O R E – Y O U – A R R I V E
Whether you are embroidering, painting, doodling, potting or other, you will need to first book out the studio for a set day and time slot. If you book for pottery, you may find yourself in the studio with others who are embroidering or doing freestyle art. In fact, we hope that is the case so a creative community can begin to take root!
Pause for a moment. Take a deep breathe. Make yourself a cup of herbal tea and read through these few pages. They are designed to support you in understanding how the space works – if you have any questions, reach out.

Guided Studio Time
For your first visit, it is recommended that one of Chloe or Tash are there to show you around, make sure you have everything you need and have all your ponderings answered!
If you’d like some 1-2-1 guidance about pottery or embroidery before you go solo, please reach out to Tash (clay; +254769358492) or Chloe (thread; +447886822078) and they’ll be delighted to settle you in.
Oh, and if the sounds of birds and nature aren’t joyful enough, remember to bring your own speaker!
WHEN – Y O U – A R R I V E
Each time you come, make sure you sign into the red booklet; recording materials consumed and payments made – this helps us to make sure everything is flourishing as it should!
Light an insence, burn the smudge stick, light a candle, do a dance – do whatever you need to ground in the space!
Help yourself to fresh herbal tea, water and snacks etc. If you feel moved to, feel free to donate anything you think we might need or are missing…be that materials, candles, tea-bags, plants or inspiration!
WHEN – Y O U – S A Y – G O O D B Y E
Please leave the studio as you found it (if you leave it even more sparkly than you found it that’s even more appreciated!) This means wiping surfaces (think of it as a beautiful ritual), washing the pottery wheel, washing up mugs and turning off all switches.
Consider contributing generously so that we can support the sustainability of the WonderStudio and her mumma, the WonderHouse! The studio is funded entirely by contributions, so an energy exchange each time you enjoy the space is requested. *Please send contibutions to Tash via 0716 713 175; this is so we can keep track of the revenue the Studio is creating for the WonderHouse, she will forward it on monthly*
Further guidance on the amount can be found here but remember we never want money to be a reason that you don’t tap into your creative potential, so please reach out to Tash if something doesn’t feel right or accessible.
GUIDED POTTERY SESSIONS
For private lessons please reach out to either:
Tash: 0769 358 492 (Tash has been crafting pottery on the wheel and by hand since 2015. She’s created with some incredible teachers across the globe and guides in a contemplative, spiritual way. Tash also offers meditative Kurikuni pottery workshops for groups)
Odhiambo: 0780 298030
Please remember to book out the studio for private lessons in the usual way.

IMPORTANT
The WonderStudio is currently the only indoor space the community has.
IF it is pouring with rain, check the WonderHouse experiences page.
If there is an experience that is scheduled for the same time, the experience takes precedence…i.e. please – even if you booked in advance – rearrange your visit to the studio space.
Thank you so much for your support!
